Winfield Lift Station Rehabilitation and New Force Main

City of Hudson Oaks, Texas

Project Details

Provenance Engineering was selected to upgrade the Winfield Lift Station to accommodate a large new development in Hudson Oaks. The project includes increasing the lift station capacity to 500 gallons per minute and designing a new 2,800 LF, 6-inch force main with both open-cut and trenchless segments.

PROJECT COMPONENTS:
  • Rehabilitation and Upsizing of Lift Station
  • 2,800 LF of New 6-inch Force Main
  • TCEQ Permitting

Challenges

The project required a rapid assessment of the existing lift station’s capacity and evaluation of the adequacy of the 4-inch force main to serve the new development, all while construction for the development was already underway.

Solutions

Provenance Engineering quickly analyzed the City’s largest lift station, which serves not only the new development but also receives flow from two other lift stations. The team developed a comprehensive plan to address increased flow rates and collaborated closely with the developer and the City to meet both immediate and long-term infrastructure needs.
