Lillian Pump Station Expansion and New Ground Storage Tank

City of Stephenville

Project Details

Provenance Engineering was selected by the City of Stephenville to provide design, bid, and construction phase services for the expansion of the 14 MGD Lillian Pump Station including a new 1-MG ground storage tank.

PROJECT COMPONENTS:
  • 14 MGD Pump Station Expansion
  • New 1MG Ground Storage Tank
  • Site Civil Improvements

Challenges

The existing pump station operated 22 hours a day during high-demand periods, approximately six months a year, straining its capacity. Rapid growth driven by Tarleton State University further increased demand for potable water, requiring additional storage to meet Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requirements. To prevent disruption during peak demand, Provenance Engineering was tasked with fast-tracking the project from assessment through construction.

Solutions

Leveraging the success of three prior pump station projects with the city, Provenance Engineering utilized its established relationships and deep understanding of local needs to accelerate the project timeline. Through efficient collaboration and strategic planning, the team ensured uninterrupted potable water delivery while meeting the city’s infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
